Temporary changes to the appointment booking system

In accordance with NHS England guidelines, we have restricted the appointments that can be booked online to telephone consultations only. A GP will call you on the number you leave when booking the appointment. They will either deal with the issue over the telephone or book a convenient appointment for you to attend the surgery. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we have to take steps to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.

We are aware that this will mean our telephone lines will be busier, however, more appointments will be available via this method of booking.

We have not taken this decision lightly, as we know how many of you like the convenience of booking appointments online, however, NHS England have advised that all appointments booked online should be triaged. We would like to assure you that the number of available appointments has not changed, just the method of booking them.

If you do book a telephone consultation online please do NOT attend the surgery unless told to do so by a clinician.

It is vitally important that an accurate reason is given when our staff book an appointment for you. If you already have an appointment booked, please do not be offended if we call you before your appointment to confirm the reason for attending.

We have to ensure we limit the spread of this virus. Hospitals hubs have been set up to deal with those patients infected with the virus to ensure that General Practice can continue to care for those that need us.

As the position is changing daily we will keep our facebook page and website updated, please bear with us.

We will resume normal service as soon as possible - in the meantime thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Corona Virus (COVID-19)? Please use NHS 111

Please DO NOT come to the surgery if you suspect you may have Corona virus (COVID-19).

Please dial 111 or follow the instructions online at https://111.nhs.uk/Question/Navigation

If you come to the surgery we risk having to close the surgery for deep cleaning. Our staff may also contract the virus meaning we are unable to see those people who need to be seen for acute illness and long term health conditions.

Advice is changing daily, however, we are following the guidelines issued by NHS England and would ask for your cooperation.
